 - The original application deadline of May 19, 2023 has been extended until all positions are filled.
 - Applications are closed to Olympia and Capital High School students due to the volume of applications received.  Applications are open to interested ORLA and Avanti High School students.

The Olympia School District Board of Directors is seeking one (1) incoming junior or senior from each school with grades 9-12 to sit on the Olympia School District Board and represent students from across the district. In the 2023-24SY, seats are available to Avanti, Olympia, Capital and ORLA schools.

Student representatives attend three (3) board related meetings each month including a summer retreat:  
     -  two (2) regular school board meetings are generally held the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of each month;
     -  one (1) work session generally held the 1st Thursday of each month;
     -  summer retreat is scheduled in August;
     -  winter retreat is scheduled in January.

The students who fill these positions are advocates for students across the Olympia School District and bring the voice of students to school board discussions and decisions.

Once your application is submitted, your school principal and a school employee you request will be contacted to support your application for student representative. Final selection will be made and applicants will be notified by the week of June 5.
