Annual Election for 2022 Nominations Form
Please refer to the MSLS Constitution and By-Law-01 : Elections that can be found at msls.asn.au/governance to ensure you understand the responsibilities for the role you are nominating for and the election procedure.

INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Indicate the position(s) you wish to nominate for.
2. Provide a written statement detailing your intentions and suitability for the position.
3. Nominations close at 5:00pm on 9 August 2021.

Nominees for all positions are invited to attend the Annual General Meeting on Wednesday 11 August 2021 at 10:00 am in Herbert Smith Freehills Lecture Theatre in the Law Building.

Please note, nominations not submitted appropriately may be rejected by the Secretary. However, the Secretary will notify you of any defects with your application as soon as reasonably possible, giving you the opportunity to amend your application.

If you are interested in more than one position, please be aware you may only nominate for one Executive Committee and one General Committee position at a time.

You may nominate on the floor at the AGM for another position, provided you do not exceed the limit above. Please note that elections by default are conducted in the order they appear in the MSLS Constitution, so you may only nominate for a position on the floor if it appears in the Constitution AFTER the position you have already nominated. However, contested (two or more nominees) positions may be heard before uncontested positions (one nominee).

If you wish to withdraw your nomination prior to the AGM, you must email contact@msls.au so the Secretary may exclude your name from the Election.

If you wish to withdraw your nomination at the AGM, you must advise request the Chair remove your name from consideration.
