gym and weight room for the summer.
General Information
- Individuals should select the appropriate level based
on their training experience and comfort level.
- Student-athletes may be moved up or down levels based
on the discretion of the instructor. This is for individual safety and quality of experience for the group.
- Maximum 48 student-athletes per group (additional
students will be put on a waiting list).
- Our mission as a strength and conditioning program is
to develop a firm strength and movement foundation that is continually built on
to maximize athletic potential while lowering the risk of injury.
Summer Levels
Novice Strength & Conditioning (Level 1)
Designed
for all new comers to the high school program (freshman, transfers, and those
that have not participated in a Cedar Falls High School
strength and conditioning program with Coach Remmert or Coach Romanazzi). This
is an appropriate level for those that need more practice with technique,
did not complete a full training cycle, or have taken extensive
time off from training. Prerequisite for Level 2.
Intermediate Strength & Conditioning (Level 2)
Designed
for those with 1-2 years of lifting experience at Cedar Falls High School.
Individuals must have completed a minimum of the following:
(a) 1 semester of strength and conditioning with Coach Remmert and Coach
Romanazzi or (b) completed 1 in-season/off-season training cycle
with attendance of 75% or higher. Prerequisite for Level 3.
Advanced Strength & Conditioning (Level 3)
Designed
for those with 2-3 years of lifting experience at Cedar Falls High School.
Individuals must have completed a minimum of the following:
(a) 2 semesters of strength and conditioning with Coach Remmert and Coach
Romanazzi or (b) completed 2 in-season/off-season training cycles with
attendance of 75% or higher.
2-Day option: for those that meet the advanced requirements but have a scheduling conflict due to summer sports schedule (softball, cross country, basketball).
Cost for summer lifting is $60 and will be
charged to you through PowerSchool
