SKY Soccer Recreational Financial Assistance Application
Our goal is to make sure all players offered a spot on an Academy Select team are able to play regardless of family financial circumstances. To accomplish this, we offer payment plans and financial assistance to qualifying families. SKY Soccer offers financial aid for our youth soccer programs based on demonstrated need. The SKY Soccer Board of Directors reviews and approves all applications that are completed and forwarded for consideration.  All application information is kept 100% confidential. You will be notified within 14 days if your application has been approved.

REQUIREMENT CHECKLIST FOR ELIGIBILITY

1. Commitment to attend a minimum of 80% of scheduled practices and games.

2. Application must be completed by a parent, guardian, or head of household, with all requested information provided. Incomplete applications will not be considered.

3. All applications are due by June 30th for the 2020/2021 season. Incomplete or late applications may not be considered


FINANCIAL AID PRIORITY WILL BE GIVEN TO ELIGIBLE CHILDREN MEETING ONE OR MORE OF THE CRITERIA BELOW:

- Receiving assistance from programs such as: Food Stamps, Medicaid, SSI, Foster Care, WIC, etc. (written documentation of participation in these programs to receive priority status may be required)

- Written recommendation by school representatives, social workers, youth community center workers, or - other social services representatives.

- Member of a multi‐child family and/or Living in a single parent home where household income is below $45,000.

- Special consideration will be given to those applicants that indicate that they are willing to serve as a volunteer on their application.

- Additional hardship circumstances will be considered.

- Must apply each seasonal year.

The SKY Soccer Board of Directors will make decisions on a subjective basis. While a player’s need (as demonstrated by the Application) will be given the highest consideration, other factors may be considered including, but not limited to:

- Years with SKY Soccer

- The applicant’s attendance record and attitude (as reported by the coach)

- Applicant’s other activities which demonstrate volunteerism within the SKY Organization

- Parent or player code of conduct violations

Club Registration/Acceptance Fee must be paid for application to be considered. Scholarship money is only good towards club fees.  Team Fees, Uniform fees and personal travel to tournaments and games is not covered by scholarship money.

The maximum scholarship award will be up to 50% of club fees for the season. All applicants will be notified of the decision of the Board of Directors by July 15th.
