The purpose of the Visionary Award is to honour and offer recognition to members of the Child and Youth Care field that have made significant contributions to the growth and evolution of Canadian CYC practice, education, and professional advancement. Recipients of this award would be acknowledged as having clearly expressed and acted on their support to practitioners throughout their professional career, publishing literature and supporting professional CYC organizations in Canada.
Visionary Award recipients may be identified through member associations of the CCCYCA or by individual CCCYCA Directors. The decision regarding the award recipient will be made during at a CCCYCA meeting prior to the National Conference.

Below, submit a 250 word submission addressing the three pillars of the award: the individual has made significant contributions to the growth and evolution of Canadian CYC practice, educational and professional advancement.
Please note: the nomination committee relies upon the impression of the written nomination submitted.

Nomination Deadline: March 5, 2024
*Nominees shall not be sitting members of the CCCYCA
*Nominees do not need to be a member of their provincial association
*CCCYCA as a whole discusses the nominations during the conference call prior to the National Conference, and determines a recipient or recipients
*There is no requirement that the Visionary Award has to be awarded.
*There may be more than one Visionary Award recipient in any given conference year.
*The recipient or recipients will receive a framed certificate and non-transferable lifetime National Conference registration, at no cost.
*Recipient or recipients may be notified by a representative of the CCCYCA in a timely manner so that they may choose to attend the upcoming National Conference to accept the award in person.
