Listening to the Future 2023-24 | COMPOSER PARTICIPATION FORM
"Listening To The Future" is a project of the Pasadena Chorale, provided at no cost to high-school age student composers in the Pasadena area. Student composers in this project will meet with composer mentor Jen Wang every other week from November 2023 through May 2024 to create new pieces of choral music. The Chorale will perform these pieces in concert on June 15, 2024. We’re looking to for students with interest in writing choral music and for whom this would be a unique or significant new opportunity. If you think that may be you, please use this form to sign up. By submitting this form you and your parent or guardian confirm your participation in the Pasadena Chorale's 2023-24 Listening to the Future program and agree to the following:

1. I hereby grant to the Pasadena Chorale the right to use my identifiable visual likeness and voice in photographs and video recordings of Chorale rehearsals, any and all work sessions of Listening to the Future, and any performances during the 2023-24 season. 
 

2. I retain all rights, including Federal copyrights, to any works I create through Listening to the Future (“My Chorale Works”), except as follows: 
a. I hereby grant the Chorale any necessary rights and licenses under Federal copyright law to make and distribute any audio and/or video recordings of Chorale rehearsals and performances during the 2023-24 season, including any video or audio recordings of rehearsals and performances of My Chorale Works. This includes the rights to sell any video or audio recording by the Chorale of My Chorale Works. 
b. I hereby grant the Chorale a license to perform or record any of My Chorale Works for a period of ten (10) years from the date of this Agreement. This includes the rights to sell any video or audio recording by the Chorale of My Chorale Works. 
c. I will be identified as the composer in any program or other material accompanying any live performance or recording by the Chorale of My Chorale Works. And I will be entitled to collect composers’ royalties from all performances and sales of my music.
