Volunteerism/Leadership - The applicant must show proof of their significant involvement in leadership and/or volunteer activities in a not-for-profit organization or community through letters of support from two independent references.
Age Eligibility - Applicants must show proof of age eligibility and be between the ages of 18 and 21 years as of December 31 in the calendar year of application.
Letters of Reference - Two letters of reference from independent adults are required to support the applicant’s contributions to a community group or not-for-profit agency through volunteer hours and/or leadership. These letters may not be written by a relative of the applicant.
Personal Letter - The applicant will provide a letter, maximum 2 pages, describing their contributions to the community or the sport of curling through volunteerism and why they should be considered for this scholarship.
Application - Deadline for applications is June 30th 2024. The completed application form with all required documents attached must be submitted to the Calgary Curling Club prior to the application deadline.
Applications will be reviewed and selections made by the committee and the successful applicant will be notified. Presentation of the scholarship will take place annually at the Calgary Curling Club Past Presidents’ Dinner in September.
