The WDHS Music Department is presently planning a five-day performance tour of the Niagara Falls/Toronto area from May 28 – June 1, 2025. This trip will include Downtown Toronto public performances for both the band and choir. We will also be touring the area with proposed venues to include a tour of Niagara Falls, Maid of The Mist, Cave of the Winds, attending a Buffalo Symphony performance, and Six Flags Darien Lake. The schedule is presently being finalized and we are very sure that all music students will want to go on this very exciting trip. The projected possible final cost for this trip will be approximately $1250.00 per students & $1600.00 per parent, with the final cost being determined by the number of people participating in the trip. As always, we will try to make this cost as low as possible for each student.
We sincerely would like to provide the opportunity for every child in the WDHS Band and Choir to participate in this wonderful performance tour. The band and choir will be having several fundraisers throughout the fall, winter and spring to help offset out of pocket expenses. The goal of these fundraisers is to give every band and choir student the ability to raise the funds needed to travel with us to Niagara Falls. Since this is a performance tour, we are hoping to have the entire band and choir attend the trip so our ensembles can perform at their full strength and very best. Much more importantly, we don’t want to leave anyone behind!
We recognize the need for every trip participant to have a passport for this trip. We are in the process of making arrangements to take care of this through a large group meeting at WDHS. We currently have 110 available spots and are now accepting reservations & deposits through October 31st. Priority for spots will go to students first and then to adults according to their initial deposit date. Please note that reservations are not complete until your deposit is paid in full.
