Artist Application For Unveiling Heroes
Unveiling Heroes of the Block is a visual archival project that is a part of ArtworxTO: The City of Toronto's Year of Public Art 2021-2022. It is about uncovering the buried and lesser-known stories of prominent African Canadian figures that contributed to the foundational fabric of the Toronto we experience today. This project will feature four installations in various parks across the Greater Toronto Area.

To add onto the physical installation component of Unveiling Heroes, BSAM Canada has partnered with Heritage Toronto to create a virtual map tour. This map will also include three (3) additional illustrated heroes to add onto the Unveiling Heroes project.

This is a contract position that will run from the end of October 2021 to the beginning of December 2021. For artists who are interested in joining our project team, please fill out the form below by Friday, October 22, 2021.
