SUMMER SCHOOL ATTENDANCE & BEHAVIOR POLICY

Summer School at Wilmot Union High School is a privilege. The teachers and administration use summer school to enhance student learning opportunities, enrich our rigorous curriculum and/or provide academic interventions for students in a credit deficit situation.

Attendance Policy
Because summer school classes are condensed, each day of attendance is vital to course completion and credit. If a student misses three(3) days of summer school, administration reserves the right to drop the student from the class that they are enrolled in.

All student absences should be phoned in to (262)862-2351.

Tardy Policy
Three tardies to any one class will equal one absence. Any tardies to class exceeding fifteen minutes will be counted as an absence for that class. Absences because of tardies will be counted towards a student’s overall attendance standing and may result in a student being dropped from the class.

Behavior Policy
Summer school is designed to cover a large amount of curriculum in a short amount of time. Any behavior that may be deemed a disruption to the learning process will not be tolerated, including but not limited to; insubordination, disrespect towards teachers and staff, refusal to take part in activities, refusal to do work, sleeping etc., Students who receive a referral for a suspendable offense, including repeated lesser poor behavior choices, may be dropped from summer school and will not receive credit for work completed.
