This is our current schedule for our regular weekly sessions
Monday 18:20-19:30:
Group Session
(Note that Bank Holiday Monday sessions are moved to Tuesday)
We start these sessions with a 10-to-15-minute warm-up run to our session location, where we will have an effort session, before a cool-down run back to the rugby club. The efforts are run as an out-and-back or loop, allowing all runners to work to their abilities.
Wednesday 18:55 - 20:00:
Social/Conversational
We meet at Penarth Leisure Centre, at the rear of the car park, near Dock Street.
This is a one-hour off-road conversational run. It is a run together/stay together run, where the front of the group will loop back to the rear should the group start to spread out too much.
Thursday 18:25 - 19:30:
Social/Conversational
We meet at Penarth Leisure Centre, at the rear of the car park, near Dock Street.
This is a one-hour off-road conversational run around Cardiff Bay. Like Wednesday this is a “run together/stay together” run.
Friday 07:00 – 07:45:
Captains Run - tempo run
Meet at
Penarth Athletic Club, off Lavernock Road - meet outside the changing rooms.
This is a 45-minute tempo effort, led by our club captains. Run at 8.5 min/mile minimum pace.
We do recommend that you are already able to complete a parkrun (5km) under 35 minutes and can run for about 60 minutes non-stop. If you are unsure whether you are able to manage any of the club sessions comfortably then please indicate this in the Additional Information question below, and provide 7 days between submitting your form and the first of your selected trial dates. Our Membership Officer will then get in touch with you to discuss your application.
