Hares of Hampshire Learning Programme Expression of Interest
Hares of Hampshire is a spectacular public art event that weaves its way across the great cities of Winchester and Southampton in the summer of 2022. Hare sculptures, each one individually designed by an artist and sponsored by a business, form a free, fun, family-friendly trail of discovery for local families to explore and enjoy.

Schools, colleges and community groups from across the region are invited to join in the fun.  Adopt and design your own smaller Leveret sculpture - while taking part in our county-wide Learning Programme for children and young people.

After getting creative in the classroom, see your 3D masterpiece on the art trail alongside contemporary artists and high-profile exhibits in museums, libraries and galleries. After 10 weeks on public display, your Leveret is yours to keep in its forever pasture in your school, college or community.

Be part of this unique event that will raise vital funds for The Murray Parish Trust and deliver significant benefits to teachers, pupils, your community and city.

We are inviting school and community groups from across the region that work with children and young people, from across the age ranges, to be inspired, get imaginative and join us in decorating a 3D mini Leveret sculpture. This is your opportunity to submit an expression of interest in getting involved in this community-unifying project; that has creativity at its core.

Hares of Hampshire is an excellent way to actively demonstrate your commitment to promoting and embedding community cohesion, and celebrating the creativity of children and young people.

The Learning Programme will seamlessly interweave with the outdoor art trail, offering the city’s next generations of bright, young, undiscovered, creative talent a huge showcasing opportunity. Their work will be displayed in cultural and leisure venues, alongside the city’s permanent arts and heritage collections and shoulder to shoulder with up to 30 life-sized Hare sculptures. As well as creating their own unique sculpture, representatives from registered schools and youth groups will have the opportunity to attend a large-scale launch event.

Please complete the following information to let us know if you're interested or to ask any burning questions about what's involved. We look forward to hearing from you.

Best wishes
