Dear Restaurant Owner/Manager:

Since 2009, Turkish Restaurant Week (TRW) has successfully promoted Turkish cuisine and Turkish restaurants in the Greater Washington, DC Metro Area. The event, created and organized by the American-Turkish Association of Washington, DC (ATA-DC), has become an annual tradition that Washingtonians look forward to and cherish every year. As well as promoting Turkish cuisine and culture in the District, TRW also attracts many new customers to Turkish restaurants. Over the years, it has also become a benchmark to preserve the legendary taste of Turkish cuisine in the North East.

EVENT DETAILS:

Lunch - Brunch: $25.00

Dinner: $40.00 - $55.00

Turkish culinary culture is notable for its fresh ingredients and being the melting pot of recipes originating from Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and Africa. 

Turkish Restaurant Week (TRW) is an award-winning culinary event. It is the biggest opportunity for Washingtonians to sample various meals from Turkish cuisine, one of the most diverse and delicious in the culinary world. 

TRW is an annual week-long celebration of Turkish cuisine organized by the American-Turkish Association of Washington, DC (ATA-DC).

The Eleventh Annual Turkish Restaurant Week will run from Tuesday, October 18 to Sunday, October 30, 2022. 

During TRW, the most outstanding Turkish restaurants will offer their most exquisite culinary samples and specialties for foodies in the DMV area.

The participation fee is $475. The deadline for the application is September 30, 2022.  We would like to remind you that late applications will not be accepted.

We do hope that you will participate in the Turkish Restaurant Week.

RULES FOR PARTICIPATING RESTAURANTS:
  1. Participating restaurants MUST provide a three-course or equivalent prix-fixe menu at a minimum. Lunch and brunch menus are priced at $25.00, while dinner menus are priced at $40.00 or $55.00. 
  2. Participating restaurants MUST provide a three-course or equivalent prix-fixe menu for lunch, dinner, or both. Restaurants can offer a Restaurant Week brunch menu with the same value as a three-course menu. Weekend brunch cannot be the only service option available during the promotion. 
  3. Throughout the entire duration of the  seven-day promotional period, participating restaurants MUST offer the three-course or equivalent prix fixe menu for either lunch, dinner, or both during normal operating hours for the selected service, lunch or dinner. 
  4. Participating restaurants MUST provide a PDF version of their designated Restaurant Week menu for posting on the Restaurant Week website. 
  5. To provide feedback on the promotion, participating restaurants MUST complete the post-promotion survey. 
TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION:
  1. ATA-DC undertakes the advertisement and marketing for this event.  
  2. A special hashtag and media handles will be provided to the restaurants for their use before and during TRW to promote the event. 
  3. The website www.turkishrestaurantweekdc.org will include information on each participating restaurant and the prix fixe menu that is being offered by each restaurant during the restaurant week. 
  4. Restaurants that would like to participate in this event are required to register with ATA-DC and pay the $ 475 participation fee in order to have their names put on advertisements and the website. The participation fee will be used to cover the marketing expenses of the event.
  5. Only restaurants that serve Turkish food will be allowed to participate in the Turkish Restaurant Week (Pizza restaurants or sandwich cafes will not be included). 
  6. To ensure that the highest quality standard is reached to best promote Turkish cuisine, ATA-DC holds the right to approve or not approve the applications.
