The Leadership Development area in the Office of Student Involvement is looking to collect and catalog information about the many different on-campus programs, events, experiences, and resources related to leadership so that we can increase students’ awareness of these opportunities.

The Spartan Leadership Opportunities Catalog will be a central space on the Student Involvement website and SJSU Sammy App that organizes each of these campus opportunities by category. The catalog will also link to each program’s main website page for the latest information. A few examples of items we can include:

-Academic Programs (Major, Minor, Concentration, etc.)
-Career Development (networking, internships, etc. )
-Lectures /Panels /Workshops/ Series (educational session around a theme/topic/skill)
-Professional Focus (audience targeted for students interested in a specific career)
-Resource Hub (past recordings, worksheets, additional links, etc.)
-Social Experiences (high level of interaction designed to create/empower community)
-Student Employment (paid positions with leadership development)
-Training (national certifications, training for student positions, retreats, etc.)
-Volunteer Opportunities (unpaid position with leadership development)
-Conferences (multi-workshop seminar around a specific theme/topic/or skill)

If you help to coordinate a leadership-related program, we would be happy to include it in the Catalog! We ask that all interested partners please submit your basic program information to us as you finalize plans for your event/service.

You do not need to have all of the specific information about an upcoming opportunity to participate in this project. Just a few foundational details will work for our purposes, and you can always work with us to update with additional information later. The catalog will be updated on the first of the month, every month to keep the most up-to-date information displayed for students to see.
