SHoW offers a range of bursaries to support the work of doctoral research students and early career researchers. We are open to funding a variety of activities, including individual research costs (e.g. archive work, conference attendance) and the organisation of workshops and conferences. Applicants should be engaged in academic research on the history of war, and should have applied to their own institution or doctoral consortium for support where eligible; priority will be given to those without access to such funds. Doctoral/early career applicants do not need to be SHoW members.
In addition, mid- and later-career SHoW members may apply for support for initiatives/events aimed at supporting early career colleagues.
We expect that awards will range between £100 and £500, and reserve the right to offer less than the full amount requested. If you have further queries, please email Prof. Catherine Fletcher at treasurer@show.org.uk.
