No-cost All-day workshop for educators interested in creating both hard copy and/or electronic books for their students, particularly, but not exclusively for students who need adapted ways to access books. We will spend an hour in the morning talking about the why and the how, then turn you loose to make books.

Please bring a sack lunch or get lunch nearby.

Please bring a device for creating an electronic book. To set up an account to create easy reader adapted books go to:

if you are a TOBLV, please consider requesting the book builder kit and/or the CVI book builder kit on behalf of a student with this particular educational need from the IERC, and bring it with you.

I have an APH book-making kit to bring for a student with tactile literacy needs. (teachers for the blind are able to acquire these on behalf of a student with BLV with identified literacy needs)

I have signed up for a login at tarheelreader.org to use their e book-making tool. In order to sign up for an account simply send email to tarheelreader@cs.unc.edu requesting the code and they will email it to you. They are requiring the code to keep bad spammers from taking over the site.
