Member Expression of Interest
The Data Curation Network invites expressions of interest for joining as "Sustainer Institutions" for the coming fiscal year (July 1 - June 30). Applications are due before April 30th and will be reviewed with the following criteria:

Required
- Have an existing data repository service
- Ability to commit in-kind staff, with at least 10% FTE for curation work, 5% FTE for governance work.
- Ability for committed staff to agree to the DCN code of conduct, https://datacurationnetwork.org/about/code-of-conduct/.
- Willingness to share the central costs of operating the Data Curation Network via a one-year membership fee (FY rate = $10,000 per Sustainer institution).

Preferred
- Staff that bring domain expertise currently underrepresented in the Network: atmospheric sciences, chemistry, chemical engineering, civil engineering, crop sciences, electrical engineering, and genomics.
- Staff with software and code curation expertise in all languages, but especially MATLAB, R, and Python.
- Institutions that increase the diversity of DCN members and participating individuals are particularity encouraged to apply.

Disclaimer: This survey is intended to capture interest only. Filling out this survey does not guarantee participation in the DCN, as growth in this tier will be limited annually to ensure good onboarding and training of new team members.
