4-H Crochet Education Meetings

We are glad you are interested in joining us for 4-H Crochet Meetings. This first meeting will cover crochet basics and will be ideal for beginners. We will be learning how to do the following projects from which you can choose at the meeting: a beaded bracelet, a headband or a washcloth.

We will have crochet hooks (H-8 (5mm)) size to borrow, but if you would like to complete another similar project or need to finish what you start at the meeting, consider bringing your own supplies. We will also have yarn available but will be limited in color and quantity; suggested donation to cover yarn costs is $2-3 depending on skein size. Here are the recommended hook sizes and yarn weights for each project: Bracelet- H-8 (5mm) and medium acrylic yarn; headband/bracelet- I-9 (5.5mm) and worsted weight yarn; washcloth- H-8 (5mm) kitchen cotton yarn.

You may also bring your own project to work on instead of the suggested projects, which will be geared towards beginners.
