Thank you for applying to be a part of the Rice Historical Review! Here is a short description of each of the board positions:

Director of Copyediting: Leads the copyediting sessions in the spring for the articles selected for publication and refines the RHR Style Guide.

Publishing and Art Director: Oversees the publication process and the recruitment of artists who make pieces for the journal. This means formatting the journal template and articles, and making sure the journal looks visually appealing and professional.

Director of Outreach/Social Media: Manages the RHR's official social media accounts to promote the RHR's publication, short form, and podcasts, as well as create events to further publicize the RHR.

Director of Short Form: Reviews submissions to Rice Scrolls, the short form arm of the RHR. Check out our short form at http://www.ricehistoricalreview.org/shortform.

Director of Recruitment: Responsible for soliciting more applications to the RHR's editorial board.

Director of Podcasting: Creates new episodes of the RHR's podcast. Check out our podcast at https://soundcloud.com/user-176468700.

Director of the Racial Justice Research Project: Ensures that the editorial board maintains diversity of thought and topic as a priority.
