Community Schools Questions
Newark Unified has been awarded a Community Schools Planning Grant for the 23-24 academic school year. Over the course of this year and possibly the next, a community planning committee will be formed to inform NUSD's proposal for the Community Schools Implementation Grant. A community school builds partnerships and organizes resources (programs and services) to support  the successful development of students. All young people must develop skills and strengths to  navigate normal developmental tasks. Sometimes students face challenges that affect their healthy  development. Schools, Communities and Families must work together to address successful  development of our youth.
