MTBA Travel Baseball Terms & Conditions:
Registration & Other Fees *
I hereby have READ, UNDERSTAND, and AGREE to pay the Registration fee of $TBD (approximately $325 for the 2022 fee, but subject to change) which will only be paid if my player makes a travel team.  The determined fee is due by March 31, 2022, and is not due at the tryout.  There will also be a work bond of approximately $100 per player. More details will come from the MTBA and the team manager.  Parents are also responsible for the costs of their player's Travel Uniform. The complete uniform cost is approximately $150-$200 (Jersey, Pants, Socks, Belt, and Hat). Uniform payments are paid directly at the time of the order. Costs per uniform will vary based on player needs.  Travel Team uniforms will be the same regardless of which team your child is selected for.  Player uniform numbers will be grandfathered based on seniority within each age group.  Duplicate numbers are not permitted on the same team, but are permitted on either Purple or Gold teams.
Required
Player Selection *
I hereby have READ, UNDERSTAND, and AGREE that my child may NOT be selected for a Travel Team.  I understand that Travel Baseball is NOT Recreation Baseball and therefore are not bound by the same rules governed by the MTBA Recreational Program, which includes but not limited to participation, playing time rules, and/or general recreation policies.  I further understand volunteers selected by the Travel Baseball MTBA Board members will rate the players. Players will be selected based on the player’s skills, attitude, and other intangible elements of the game of baseball.  Once final roster selections are made they will be submitted to the Executive Board for approval.  All MTBA Executive Board decisions will be deemed final.
Required
Playing Time & Position Rules *
I hereby have READ, UNDERSTAND, and AGREE that the team's manager and coaching staff determine playing time and positions. Managers are expected to follow the +1 rule (no one player will sit for more than 1 inning more than any other player) for League & Tournament pool play games. The +2 rule (no one player will sit for more than 2 innings more than any other player) may be implemented for Playoffs and Championship Games in Leagues and Tournaments. For Cal Ripken Districts, States and Regionals it is the Manager’s discretion on playing time. A manager may only bat 9 players if they choose.
Required
Parent & Player Code of Conduct and Commitment *
I hereby have READ, UNDERSTAND, AND AGREE to be committed to the MTBA Travel Team and available to play from May through August 15th.  Parents are responsible to provide the Travel Manager with a copy of their child’s birth certificate if your child makes the team as proof of age required by Babe Ruth/Cal Ripken Little League.   I understand as a Travel parent that I and my child must adhere to the Travel Program’s PLAYER & PARENT conduct policies (see below).  If I (the parent or guardian) or my child does not follow the Travel Program’s conduct policies, I understand that my child may be released from the Travel team, at any time, during the Travel season without prior notice, or a refund.
Required
Parents Code of Conduct

The MTBA promotes Respect, Fairness and Sportsmanship for all participants within the Monroe Travel Baseball Program. It is expected that all parents of Monroe Travel Baseball read and understand the Parents Code of Conduct and continue to observe and follow all the principles contained within the Code throughout the season.

5. I will leave the coaching to the coaching staff. I will encourage my child to play in a manner consistent with the team’s strategy or plans.
6. I will respect and show appreciation for the volunteers who give their time to Travel Baseball for my child.
7. I will never ridicule or yell at my child or any other players for making a mistake or losing a competition.
8. I will respect the umpires and their authority during games. I will not confront an umpire before, during or after a game.

12. I will remember that my child plays Travel Baseball for his or her enjoyment, not the managers or coaches.
13. I will teach my child that playing by the rules, doing their best is more important than winning so that my child will never feel defeated by the outcome of a game or his/her performance.

15. No illegal drugs or alcoholic beverages at any games or practices. This will result in immediate parent removal from the Travel Program.

By clicking yes above, I also agree that if my child does not abide by the aforementioned rules and guidelines, he may be subject to disciplinary action at the Manager's discretion including reduced or no playing time or even removal from the team.

In consideration of the privilege of being afforded to the child named on this registration form (the “Minor”) of the right to participate in  the Monroe Township Baseball Association (MTBA) sponsored events (the “Activities”), I hereby agree as follows:

1.  I hereby authorize the participation of the Minor to participate in the Activities and to use any equipment and facilities in connection with the Activities with the full understanding that he/she will participate in potentially hazardous activities.  I consent to the Minor’s participation in the Activities and hereby accept and assume all such risks, known and unknown, and assume all responsibility for the Minor’s participation in the Activities.  I hereby voluntarily release, forever discharge, and hold harmless and covenant not to sue the Monroe Township Baseball Association, its agents, owners, officers, directors, volunteers, managers, coaches, participants, and all other persons or entities acting in any capacity on their respective behalf (“Monroe Baseball”) from any claims, demands, or causes of action, which are brought by, or on behalf of the Minor, and which are in any way connected with participation by the Minor in the Activities or the use of any equipment or facilities in connection with the Activities, including any such claims which allege the failure of equipment or facilities or the negligent acts or omissions of Monroe Baseball.

4.  I understand the photographs and/or recordings will become the property of the MTBA and will not be returned and that neither I, nor the Minor, shall have any right of review or approval regarding the photographs and/or recordings.

5.  I hereby release and hold harmless, and I covenant not to sue, the MTBA, on behalf of myself, my children and our respective parents, heirs assigns, personal representatives and estates, from any all claims, demands, or causes of action based on or arising out of the Minor’s name, likeness, image, and/or voice or use of photographs and/or recordings.
