RSVP: Alabama Story by Kenneth Jones
A new American play by W.E. Groves High School alumnus Kenneth Jones (1982) makes its Groves debut in a live, socially-distanced staged reading outside the Groves High School auditorium.  In “Alabama Story,” the state librarian of Alabama finds her life and livelihood at risk when a controversial children's book crosses her desk in 1959 Montgomery. Meet history's forgotten hero of free expression in a fact-inspired, highly theatrical drama brimming with humor, heart and humanity.

Produced by Groves Performing Arts Company and Barebones Theatre Productions, the presentation features: Ashley Lane, Chris Kuhlman, Kirk Erickson, Scotty Lockwood, Sophie Dara, Jordan Davis and Ashley Stewart-Smith. Directed by John W. Rutherford.
