2019 Fall Connection Group Sign Up
You Belong in a CONNECTION GROUP!

CONNECTION GROUPS are a great way to get connected or stay connected with others at Reformation.

Below you will find a list of the CONNECTION GROUPS being offered this fall - a variety of topics, activities, dates, and times.

We invite you to join a group and find a place to belong this fall. All groups will begin meeting the week following September 28 (unless otherwise noted) and will meet for 7 sessions.

Group leaders will contact group members with specific information after registration closes. All groups are limited to 20 registrations (unless otherwise noted). Please sign up for only one group. Registration will close on Sept. 25.

Fall 2019 CONNECTION GROUPS

CG 1 – Mission Possible:  Hoagie Hunt! Saturdays at 12:00 noon at a different location each week, led by John Grantland. The mission – find the best Hoagie in Delco.

CG 2 – Dialogue on the Refugee Crisis. Sundays at 5:00 pm at Reformation (this group will start on Oct. 13), led by Pastor David Anderson. Enjoy a meal and a “safe space” to learn about and discuss the ongoing refugee crisis in the world. The group will use the resource “Dialogues On” which helps groups engage the topic and each other with bridge-building conversations.

CG 3 – Song and Spirits, Mondays at 7:30 pm, at Reformation, led by Jeremy Dawson. Come to share favorite songs and spirits. Bring yourself, and, if you choose, an instrument, sheet music or an audio playlist of your favorite Christian songs, and an interesting beer or wine. As the days grow chilly this fall, let’s warm our spirits together by sharing good drinks and inspiring music!

CG 4 – Word, Wonder, and Wine, Wednesdays at 7:00 pm, at Reformation, led by Pastor Alina and Deacon Beth. Come and explore scripture with conversation and creative response through the arts. Participants will have the opportunity to try new art mediums and engage in art activities as a response and study of scripture. All ages are welcome! No art experience necessary. Wine will be served!

CG 5 – Sharing our Stories, Thursdays at 9:00 am, at the home of Pat Hacik (18 Rampart East, Media), the group leader. “We are all storytellers. We all live in a network of stories. There isn’t a stronger connection between people than storytelling.” (Jimmy Neil Smith)  What are the stories you tell your family and friends? What are the stories you enjoy remembering and retelling? What experiences have made a difference in your life? Come and join us to listen to and share stories as we deepen our connections with each other. (Group limited to 10 people.)

CG 6 – Art in the Heart of Philadelphia, Thursdays at 7:00 pm, at Reformation. Spotlighting artists with a Philadelphia Connection, Dave and Sally Helms will introduce weekly conversations on paintings by artists with regional connections, including works by Edward Hicks, Mary Cassatt, Thomas Eakins, Henry Tanner and Horace Pippin. Our final gathering will be a visit to the Philadelphia Museum of Art on Sunday afternoon November 3 to view many of these works.
