About Your Mentor, Shatoyia Jones
Shatoyia Jones is a 4x award-winning social entrepreneur & Poverty / D&I Racial Equity Specialist, Founder and CEO of First Ladies of Poverty Foundation, and former Ms. Massachusetts 2019 AWOS and Miss Black America Massachusetts 2018. After becoming fed up with the traditional educational and employment model, running around in circles applying for jobs and waiting to hear back while her bills and debt piled up, she dived into entrepreneurship full-time. After 2-years of costly mistakes and hard-earned lessons, she attained a lifestyle she could only dream of and vowed to spend her life teaching the valuable lessons she has learned on her journey back to the people who need it most in hopes that they can avoid the mistakes she made and attain financial stability (eventually financial freedom) AND a higher quality of life faster than she did. She has taught on self-development, internal and external peace, poverty alleviation and racial equity, personal/professional/leadership development and now she is going back to where it all begin: investing.
