This application is only the first step in becoming a volunteer for NKL. Some positions may require additional training beyond the general volunteer orientation. If so, the Volunteer Coordinator will arrange for you to receive this training. Our volunteers must be well trained in order to assist the public with the highest quality, and to maintain the health and safety of all animals and people.

By submitting this Volunteer application, you understand that the scope of your relationship with NKL is limited to a volunteer position and that no compensation is expected in return for services provided. I also understand that I am responsible for my own insurance coverage in the event of personal injury or illness as a result of volunteer services to NKL. Checking this box also grants NKL all rights and title to any and all photographs, images, videos, or audio recordings of me or my likeness in connection with my volunteering for NKL. *
