Awareness of PFAS in the Environment
Dear Participant,

You are being asked to take part in a study entitled “Revolutionizing Water Purification: An Innovative Filtration-based Approach for the Effective Elimination of Per- and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances (PFAS)”.

The purpose of the study is to learn what the general public knows and believes about a group of substances called ‘PFAS’(poly- and per-fluorinated alkyl substances) and how they affect humans and the environment. PFAS, also known as forever chemicals, are a type of industrial chemical that can be harmful and last a long time in the environment. We wish to understand what the public already knows about PFAS, where it comes from, and the potential health problems it has been linked to. This will help us to communicate our findings in a way that is accessible and useful to people who are not experts in science.

In order to take part in this study, please first read the plain language statement link found here, and complete the anonymous online consent for found below.
