Caffeine Raiding Application
About Us:
We're a new guild formed at the start of Shadowlands. Led by two people who've raided on and off together throughout the years and have been in environments from casual AOTC to US top 100 progression pace.

Our main goal for raiding is to find a balance between the two. We want to maintain a focus on progression but also allow for other things in the game and in life.

Our other primary goal is pushing Mythic+.

We aim to be chill during progression. Everyone gets frustrated sometimes, but we're not going to get toxic about mishaps or fuck-ups.

That said, we're not trying to be a PG-13 guild. We WILL call you out on things that you fuck up to make sure that you understand it was the wrong thing to do. If you cannot take constructive criticism (I.E. "It's better to be far apart for dark recital than get hit by swirls") then this is not a suitable environment for you.

Raider Expectations
Attendance & Preparedness:
Raiders are expected to be logged in at least 15 minutes prior to start time. Being logged in on an alt or occupied in M+, PvP, etc. is acceptable up to raid time as long as you are reachable by an Officer in some way.

Raiders are expected to be prepared for the raid at raid time. This includes potions/flasks, food, weapon oils.  This also includes watching videos and knowing boss mechanics / abilities. The guild will provide feasts and cauldrons as funds allow.

Raiders are expected to attend almost every raid. If you are unable to attend a raid you MUST notify an Officer or the GM via in-game chat or Discord (Discord preferred for this -- we have a channel dedicated to this). For trials, 100% attendance is required for the trial period. For core raiding slots, 87.5% attendance is mandatory. (8 raiding days a month, 7/8 is 87.5%). Holidays and emergencies are exceptions.

Consumables:
Guild funds permitting, the guild will provide feasts and cauldrons for progression. During the first few weeks of an expansion or tier, this may not be available.

Potions, Flasks, Food and Weapon oils are required for progression. Cheap alternatives are allowed during normal and early in an expansion or tier. They are not recommended, but rather required, if we are doing DPS check encounters (i.e. Council of Blood, Sludgefist). If we are struggling on a DPS check encounter, we'll be checking this.

Penalties, etc.:
Failure to show up on-time, or be adequately prepared on a consistent basis will result in action by an Officer.

NO CALL NO SHOWS ARE UNACCEPTABLE. Anyone who does not show for raid and does not alert an Officer will marked as a trial and must re-trial for their raid slot. No Call / No Show is extremely disruptive and disrespectful to the entire raid team.

Being just a raid-logger is not acceptable during progression. As we are all putting some sort of effort into gearing our characters, we expect the same of our fellow raiders. Whether it's M+ for a BiS trinket or optimizing your Great Vault choices, we expect some modicum of effort.

We understand that IRL comes before the game, shit happens. In respect of that, we don't want to punish players for having a life. We also don't want to force players to play for a certain amount of time per week, outside of raiding. However, if your character is lagging behind because you're not doing keys or pvp or going for upgrades, you may be considered for benching or replacement.

Back-seat raid leading will get you muted in discord.
