Due to our University’s current hiring freeze (which includes paid student employees) and the needed timeline for posting, recruiting, and hiring of InternFSU students, with the support of the Office of the Provost, we have made the tough decision to pause the InternFSU program until Spring 2021. This decision while difficult will allow us to maintain the quality and diversity of opportunities that characterize the InternFSU program and provide an equitable job pool for our students.

Our goal is to enroll the next cohort of InternFSU students in Spring 2021 and as we receive a clear operations plan from University leadership, I will communicate the recruiting timeline.
In the meantime, please know that we will continue to support you in recruiting students (part-time jobs, leadership, research, internship, etc.) utilizing NoleNetwork, our centralized job board connecting hiring employers with FSU student talent. If you are unable to log-in to NoleNetwork or have questions on developing, postings and promoting your opportunities to our students, please let me know – I am here to help!

I know many of you enjoy and rely on the structure the InternFSU program provides you in supervising and evaluating your interns and I will continue to work with you to enroll your students in The Career Center’s Experience Recognition Program (ERP) which will facilitate developing learning goals and conducting effective mid-semester and end-of-semester evaluations you are accustomed to.
