SAHCon 2024 Friday Showcase Application
This form is for applicants interested in showcasing a short video for the SAHCon 2024 Friday Showcase. Videos are designed to showcase work on fan projects including fan games, fanventures, animation projects, and more.

These projects can be the work of an individual, collaborative group, or team of any size. You are welcome to submit a video for any project in any media related to Homestuck, Hiveswap, MSPaint Adventures properties, or any related works - including those being developed by one person.

Projects can either be upcoming, ongoing, or existing completed works. If you plan to apply with more than one project, please fill out one application PER PROJECT. You do NOT need a video at this point, but please keep in mind you will have approximately one month to complete work on your trailer.

APPLICATION DEADLINE: No later than 11:59pm EST on May 17th, 2023.

IF YOUR APPLICATION IS ACCEPTED, your Showcase entry should adhere to the guidelines set out below.

Video Guidelines
  1. Final video will be provided no later than 11:59 EST on Jul 12th, 2024.
  2. Video presentations should be not more than three minutes in length.
  3. Video must be prepared and sent to SAHCon staff for review in advance.
  4. Videos will be compiled into a master video to premiere on Friday, July 19th, 2024.
  5. Video must be in either 720p or 1080p resolution.
  6. Video must be in a standard format (.MP4, .MOV).
Content Guidelines
  1. No NSFW content is allowed. Basically, anything that would get the video taken off YouTube isn't okay.
  2. No content that involves any form of bigotry or harassment will be allowed.
  3. Try to avoid content that is likely to be copyright struck (e.g. songs from major artists). We may ask you to re-cut the trailer if we think that a particular song could be an issue.
  4. No video content which could potentially cause problems for those with sensory issues or epilepsy (e.g. excessively loud and sudden noises, intense flashing lights, etc.).
  5. All content is subject to review by SAHCon staff and can be rejected or sent back for revisions at staff discretion.
  6. Generative AI-created content is not allowed and may result in blacklisting.
A Note About Multiple Submissions
We welcome creators to submit multiple showcase applications for multiple projects, with a couple notes:

-Please make sure you have the time to produce more than one video.
-Projects should be distinct from each other (e.g. don't submit an MSPFA and a separate trailer for a walk-around sequence in the same MSPFA).
-We reserve the right to reject multiple applications if there's too many. If this happens, we'll be in touch with you to let you know what's going on.
