This nomination form is for the Parent Involvement Advisory Committee (PIAC) and French as a Second Language Community Advisory Committee (FSLCAC) Ward Elections in Ward 11 (Don Valley West).
We are seeking the candidates for the following positions:

The purpose of the Parent Involvement Advisory Committee (PIAC) is to support, encourage and enhance parent engagement at the board level in order to improve student achievement and wellbeing. O. Reg. 330/10, s. 6.
PIAC Ward Representatives and Alternates are advocates who:
· Provide information and advice on parent engagement to the TDSB;
· Communicate with and support school councils of schools; and
· Undertake activities to help parents of pupils of the board support their children's learning at home and at school.

The French as a Second Language Advisory Committee (FSLAC) is a parent advisory committee of the Toronto District School Board (TDSB). We’re here to support parents and to be your voice on French programs at the Board.
The FSLAC is comprised of parent representatives and alternates elected by each ward council, a parent co-chair elected by FSLAC parent members, a trustee co-chair and designated TDSB staff.
Our Mission is to consult with and advise the Board on French as a Second Language matters. As a Board community advisory committee, the FSLAC will contribute to the work of trustees and staff. This partnership of trustees, staff and parents will foster excellence and growth in FSL programs at the Board.
