On Becoming is a 9-day poetry workshop centering the voices of marginalized writers. The workshop runs from April 8th through 16th.This spring’s themes will be writing through turbulent times, and confessing the self. On Becoming focuses on encouraging generative writing and working within a cohort to share and meet peers from different backgrounds and perspectives. You will have opportunities to write and read every day. Your voice is your own, and we want to help you use it.

During this 9-day workshop you will be asked to write daily, review the work of your peers, and contribute to group discussion. You will also meet one-on-one during the course to discuss your thoughts and goals.

The workshop fee is $50-$75 sliding scale (pay what you can), with 5 spots reserved for those requiring financial aid. Please let us know at the end of the form if you would like to request a fee waiver. Applications are due April 3rd at 11:59PM. Please let me know if you require flexibility.
