PLEASE READ BEFORE APPLYING!
If you have a workshop for children that you would like to offer at the Into the Wild Beltane Fire Festival 2020, we would love to hear from you!
This year, we need you to be aware that we have a new policy of asking for a deposit of £50 from all workshop leaders. This is to ensure commitment from you, which contributes to the smooth running of the festival and means that potential workshop participants can be sure that their chosen workshop will be going ahead. We only take this from you if your application is successful, and we will refund it straight after the festival. We use Paypal for these transactions.
Workshops are ninety minute sessions, indoors (e.g. crafts) and outdoors (e.g. den making). We ask that each workshop leader leaves the last 10 minutes of their 90 minute session for packing up and the next leader preparing; your workshop should therefore be around 1 hour and 15 minutes content time.
Please fill out this application form, but before applying please take into consideration:
•
The festival starts at 10am on Friday 8th May and finishes 1pm Monday 11th May 2020. Please note that this year's Beltane festival does not take place on Beltane itself!
•
If your application is accepted, you do not need purchase a general admission ticket. Your workshop contribution entitles you to your ticket only. We would love to welcome your family for free but there are too many of you!
• Workshop leaders are asked to offer two workshops in exchange for their ticket. You can offer the same workshop twice, or two different workshops. Two different workshops are preferable.
•
The workshop description and workshop leader biography that you provide will be posted on our website and/or Facebook pages.
•
Please bear in mind that the structures in which workshops are held are grass or matted only.
•
You can arrive from Thursday at 10am and must leave by 6pm on Monday.
•
You cannot bring your vehicle onto the main site.
• All of our workshops are free of cost to the guests; if you want to offer something that requires a payment then please email
in2wildworkshops@gmail.com.
•
We ask every workshop leader to arrive on site at least 2 hours prior to their workshop and to visit the Information Tent on arrival. Arrival instructions will be sent to you if your workshop is selected.
All applications are collated and we inform everyone whether they have been successful or not around March 31st 2020.
We look forward to hearing from you! :-)
