SUMMER SCHOOL FORMAT:
*WRDSB will offer 6 hour/day ONLINE NEW credits only this summer, from Monday, July 5th to Thursday, July 29th
*Summer School is entirely online this year - all coursework will be completed online
*Summer School will require students to participate in both synchronous and asynchronous learning
*You may end up registered in a Summer School course with another School Board - this allows us to offer summer school courses to students once our own resources are at full capacity. If this is the case, you will be contacted with information necessary to login to your course
WHAT TO EXPECT:
*Students should be aware that summer e-learning courses require DAILY participation
*Students can expect approx. 6 hours of online work per day (plus up to 2 hours/day homework)
*Failure to login/participate daily can result in your removal from the course
*There will be assignments, deadlines, potential tests, etc - you will be expected to meet these deadlines
REGISTRATION:
*Registration closes on May 20, 2021
*You may only register for ONE e-learning course (except for Civics/Careers - you can register for both of these)
*Please make sure you have the prerequisite for the course you wish to take (i.e. MPM1D required for MPM2D)
*THIS FORM IS NOT YOUR ACTUAL REGISTRATION - YOUR COUNSELLOR WILL COMPLETE THAT FOR YOU
REGISTRATION CONFIRMATION / CANCELLATIONS:

*You, your parent and your counsellor will receive an email confirmation from PRISM once you are registered in your selected course
*Courses could be cancelled due to low enrollment; you will be notified via WRDSB email should that happen
PLEASE COMPLETE THIS SUMMER SCHOOL REGISTRATION FORM IF YOU:
* Indicated plans to take summer school during course selection
* Want to reach ahead to take an ONLINE course from the next grade that you have never taken before
* Failed this course and plan to repeat it in ONLINE summer school
* Want to upgrade a mark in a course that you previously passed
* Did not plan to take summer school initially, but now wish to register for an ONLINE course in summer school
DOES REGISTERING FOR A SUMMER SCHOOL CREDIT NOW REQUIRE A CHANGE FOR YOUR 2020-2021 COURSE REQUEST?
