Diversity and Inclusion Practices in the British Society for Neuroendocrinology: An evaluation of perception and potential for improvement

The BSN takes a pro-active approach towards enhancing awareness in relation to diversity and inclusion. In 2021 we surveyed members in order to ascertain the make-up of our membership so that we could understand where we needed to focus to improve our diversity and inclusion. As a result of this we have taken steps to improve the diversity of committees and meeting speakers as well as to improve the experience at meetings.

This is a long-term project as part of which we would like to survey members again, so that we can track change over time in terms of barriers within academia and also of members’ experience with the BSN. Please help by completing this 8-item questionnaire which will take about 5 – 10 minutes.

Participation is entirely voluntary and anonymity will be maintained. It will improve our understanding of our membership if a majority of members respond. A summary of the results and feedback will be compiled into a report and shared with BSN members.
