Thank you for your interest in learning more about hunting with me. I thought it important to share a little bit about my background related to hunting first thing.
I didn't grow up in a hunting household or community (although I loved fishing as a kid). In my early 20's, I decided to pursue hunting in order to procure wild foods and learn more about the new landscape I had recently moved to. For the past 25 years, I've been learning and sharing more about the art and science of hunting with friends and family. I regularly hunt whitetail deer, wild turkey (spring & fall), small game (grey squirrel), Canada geese (field hunting mostly) and occasionally waterfowl and upland game (all with firearms exclusively).
I've been a Registered Maine Guide (recreational) since 2007 and added my hunting classification more recently with the goal of offering my guide services to others. That said, hunting is a very personal, intimate experience for many who take up a weapon, thus It's important to me to make sure that there is a good fit between us. Therefore, I'll read your answers below and get back to you and let you know if I'm able to move forward with you on your learning journey. Thank you for understanding.
Please answer the questions below with care. No hurry. I'll be in touch in a little while. -Dan
