GDBA Nominate Titles 2019-2020
Dear Colleagues,

The Hong Kong Golden Dragon Book Awards Committee is again ready for your nominations!

We invite you to nominate titles for your category of expertise, i.e primary or secondary (see below), to be considered as one of the 6 shortlisted later this year.

Book nominations must have a copyright date 3 years prior to our winners' announcement in April 2019. (ie for the upcoming period, copyright dates must be from 2017 to 2019)

The 5 categories are:
Early Childhood Readers (3 to 7 years)
Younger Readers (8 to 11 years)
Older Readers (11 to 15 years)
Mature Readers (15 to 18 years)
Debbie Alvarez Picture Books (all ages)

Debbie Alvarez was a Teacher Librarian at Bradbury School who tragically lost her battle with cancer in 2015.  Debbie was a true advocate of children's literature:  she dedicated her life to inspiring young readers and fellow librarians with her love of the written word.  The Debbie Alvarez Memorial Award was set up in her honour to remind us that Picture Books can speak to all of us, and teach us valuable lessons.
