The thermometer says it is time to have a canoe trip. The Recreation Program will have a canoe trip down the Minnesota River on Saturday beginning at 12:30. With the temperatures reaching 60 in the afternoon it should be a nice day on the water.
We will leave from the circle between Lund Center and the library at noon with an anticipated return by around 3:30-4.
No experience is necessary. You are welcome to bring food, snacks and beverages. This is generally about a 2-2.5 hour round trip, but can be longer with low water. Have footwear that can get wet and muddy.
There are spaces for up to 12 people to canoe. There are two inflatable kayaks as well—let Mark know in advance. I will keep a waiting list as needed.
Additional vehicles may be needed to transport people and do the shuttle. Please indicate if you have a vehicle available.
