Walking with the Masters - The story of art with  Asha Mandapa

Session outline -
This course attempts to deliver a brief story of art & its makers in audio-visual form. And then to interpret one work of artist under study, demo his/her style with participants choosing one art work they would want to render using medium of their choice.

Three different movements will be covered - Impressionists,  Contemporary Indian Art and Renaissance!

Workshop Day - Every Thursday (for 10 weeks)
Time: 4 PM to 6PM IST
Age group: 12+ years
Fees:
₹ 3000/- for 10 sessions
₹ 500 for single session

You will need to arrange material (listed below) required for this session.
Soft pastels (reputed brand) or artist grade watercolours / watercolour pencils / acrylics
Cartridge papers A4 size for final renderings
A4 size sketchbook for practice
Paper stump / q tip
Pencil, eraser
Rag or some tissues
Water container

About the Instructor
Asha Mandapa is one of India's leading contemporary female artists & pioneers of Structural & Ornamental Glass Design in the country.
While executing projects in India & abroad, she has specialised in an impressive range of media from metal, wood, fabrics, oils, watercolours, pen & ink among many others.
She has her own design studio & is Academic Director & Founder Member of the Institute of Design Expression, Art & Learning (IDEAL).
Asha Mandapa is visiting faculty at the School of Liberal Studies (SLS), PDPU, where she teaches World Civilisation & Art & also conducts the Audit programs. She is also a Member on the Board of Studies at School of Liberal Studies, PDPU.
She is Visiting Faculty at CEPT University where she teaches the History of World Art & Craft. She conducts the CEPT Summer/Winter Schools in Understanding Material.
She has conducted intensive design related programs at Banasthali Institute of Design, Jaipur & Chitrakala Parishath College of Fine Art, Bangalore.
