March 7, 2022: Module 1 — Introduction to Wetlands and Monitoring. 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. CT
Learn about wetlands and wetland monitoring. Explore the plants and animals found in Class I and Class II
wetlands. Learn how to select sites for monitoring, and how to complete a Wetland Health Visual Survey.
March 14, 2022: Module 2 — Wading into Seasonal and Semi-Permanent Wetlands. 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. CT
Learn how to recognize the plants and animals typical of Class III and Class IV wetlands. Learn how to
complete an amphibian survey.
March 21, 2022: Module 3 — Deep Dive into Permanent Wetlands. 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. CT
Gain an understanding of the plants and animals typical of Class V wetlands. Learn how to complete a
wetland bird survey.
March 28, 2022: Module 4 — Watercourses and Emergency Response Planning. 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. CT
This session will focus on watercourse monitoring and emergency response. Learn how to perform a benthic
invertebrate survey, monitor water quality, and spot wetland contaminants.
