Demo Tapes is a free 6-week course in music production, songwriting & lyricism for 13-19 yr-olds, running on Monday evenings, 5.30 - 7.30pm, 7th June – 13th July.
You will work with leading musicians, lyricists & electronic music experts to create your own tracks & lyrics, whether you’re into hip hop, grime, folk, dub or anything in between!
Workshops will take place at the Black-E in central Liverpool, and will be fully risk-assessed and COVID-secure. Please contact Ben (details below) if you have any concerns about health and safety. It may be possible to take part online if you are unable to attend public workshops or performances for health reasons.
At the end of the project you will have the chance to perform your work in Manchester and Liverpool alongside young people from Brighter Sound (Manchester) and More Music (Morecambe). You may also use this course to gain a nationally accredited Bronze Arts Award.
No computer, music software or instrumental skill necessary. We can reimburse travel expenses and will provide transport from Liverpool for the Manchester performance.
