ENYGA Scholarship Application
The Eastern New York General Assembly (ENYGA) of the Church of God is offering two (2) $500 scholarship awards to qualifying high school seniors or undergraduate college students. The award recognizes students who demonstrate motivation in their pursuit of higher education, are involved with the ENYGA State Youth and/or their local ENYGA-affiliated church, and serve their communities. Scholarship funds can be used for tuition, books, fees, or other academic costs. Applicants must attend or plan to attend an accredited college or university as a full-time student. A designated committee of ENYGA leadership, clergy, and select members will make the selections.

Eligibility & Award Criteria:
To be eligible to receive an ENYGA Scholarship, students must meet all of the following criteria: 
1. Be enrolled as a first-time or returning college student. 
2. Have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or better on a 4.0 scale. 
3. Be a member in good standing in a member church of the ENYGA.
4. Be a citizen or permanent resident of the U.S.A.

In addition to the application, please provide the following supporting materials: 
1. Official high school or college (undergraduate) transcript. 

2. Proof of acceptance or current enrollment in an accredited college or university. 

3. Two letters of recommendation, one from your Pastor or Youth Pastor and another
from a person who can speak about your academic achievement or community service. 

4. An original, typewritten, double-spaced essay of 250-500 words that addresses one of the following topics:
a. What ways do you plan to give back in the future? How will your college education
and experience help you?
b. What are your personal and career goals?
c. How has your faith helped you in this season of your life?
d. What is one of the most difficult things facing young believers today?

The deadline to submit applications is Sunday, May 12, 2024.

Award recipients will be announced at the ENYGA convention the weekend of May 31st, 2024.
