International Law and the Israel / Hamas Conflict

Professor of Practice Gabor Rona (Cardozo) will discuss the frameworks of international law relevant to the Israel-Hamas conflict, including the UN Charter, the Geneva Conventions, and International Criminal Law. Professor Rona has worked in armed conflict settings for the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), the UN Office for Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), and as International Legal Director at Human Rights First. He now teaches various international law subjects at Cardozo and Columbia Law Schools.

In conversation with Laurel E. Fletcher, Chancellor’s Clinical Professor of Law, International Human Rights Law Clinic Co-Director and Miller Faculty Co-Director, Berkeley Law, with an Introduction by Katerina Linos, Tragen Professor of International Law and Miller Faculty Co-Director, Berkeley Law.
