For the benefit of school families, Summit Leadership Academy - High Desert (SLAHD) provides bus service for students (based on availability). By submitting this application, I authorize my student to use home-to-school bus transportation as acquired by Summit Leadership Academy - High Desert

● SLAHD does not provide supervision at the off-campus bus stops. SLAHD does not provide supervision between the bus stop and the campus.

● Bus riders are to follow behavior and grooming expectations set forth in Cadet Handbook. It is further agreed that if a cadet gets on the bus in improper dress code, a member of the family will bring clothing to school, so the cadet is properly dressed for the school day.
 *
Cadets must carry their bus passes on their person at all times. Bus passes must be presented to the bus driver or other SLAHD personnel each day. Bus privileges may be revoked should this policy be violated.
 *
● Walking can be hazardous and I assume all responsibility for my child between home and the bus stop. The safety of my student(s) while walking to and from the bus stop is my responsibility and not the responsibility of SLAHD, its agents, employees, volunteers, contractors, or authorizers.
 *
● Students must follow the rules of bus behavior--which coincide with campus behavior standards--as established by SLAHD and/or bus operator. This extends to bus stops as well. Discipline may include suspending or revoking bus privileges.
 *
● SLAHD does not assume any liability or responsibility for accidents occurring between the time student leaves home (or the campus) and gets on or off of the bus.
 *
● SLAHD reserves the right to revoke a participant’s ability to participate in this bus transportation if rules are not adhered to or the privilege is being abused.
 *
● BUS PASS REFUNDS will not be issued for any reason.
 *
The safety of our students is our priority. Bus drivers will not allow student(s) to be dropped off at an unassigned bus stop without written permission from parent or guardian. Requests must go through the front office ahead of time to allow adequate processing time.
