Please register for an Environmental Justice Brainstorming Session or an Evie Training. Each session will be held in a different language. Pre-registration is not required, but it is strongly encouraged. It will help us know how to best prepare for your visit.
The Payne-Phalen Community Council is hosting an Earth Day Festival with a series of specific events that will be conducted in six different languages: Hmong, Karen, Somali, Spanish, English, and American Sign Language.
Earth Day in 6 Languages
Saturday April 22nd
11am-3:00 pm
Arlington Hills Community Center
1200 Payne Ave., St Paul, MN 55130
Our intention is to gather folks from our many diverse communities and to join in dialogue in the languages spoken in our communities. We want you and your loved ones to share your ideas, dreams and visions for the future of Payne-Phalen in the language that is most comfortable for you.
We will be offering free food, Evie carshare demonstrations, in language brainstorming sessions about environmental justice, games, and fun for all ages! This event will bring together our community as we work together to create a better future for the planet and in our neighborhoods!
More about PPCC: The Payne Phalen Community Council (PPCC) exists to improve our neighborhoods by engaging, educating and empowering all residents in our diverse communities. We want to learn from the people who live and work here and hear from you about what you wish for in the future. Information gathered from the environmental brainstorming sessions will help shape the District Plan that the Payne Phalen Community Council will submit to the City of St. Paul to jointly use for planning and future development.
