We will review you application within 2 business days of receipt. Applications are processed in the order that they are received. If you home is a good fit, we will notify you.  We will only accept deposits  after we discuss re-homing fees with you, pick order preferences and execution of our agreement/ health gurantee. Completing this application is a step in the process to acquiring a puppy from Utah Gem Puppies but it does not guarantee you will get a puppy from this or any future litter. While it's extremely unlikely, the breeder reserves the right to refuse any placement at any time. We welcome approved families to our home. We will gladly schedule a visit with you to select your puppy in person at 7 weeks of age. Once a visit has been scheduled, we require a 12 hour notice of cancellation. There is a $50.00 appointment cancellation fee, if you do not contact us 12 hours in advance. We discourage rescheduling, however if unforeseen circumstances arise and you absolutely cannot make the appointment, please contact us soon as possible and we will reschedule you to another date and time. *

We can hold puppies for new owners on a case by case basis. If you have a big vacation planned or have events that would conflict with a young puppy, please know puppies cannot be boarded in a kennel until they have received their full immunizations and their rabies vaccination which cannot be done until 3 months of age. We will  kennel our puppies (as long as they have not left for your home) for a small boarding fee to cover food cost. During this time we will train and give needed socialization experiences. *

We have a contract and will not place a puppy without a signed contract. We believe it's the professional thing to do to memorialize our obligations to each other on paper so there are no questions later.  If approved we require our contract to be signed along with a deposit before allowing you to reserve a puppy or litter pick. *

We require spay/neuter at or before 8 months for females and 24 months for males. If you're a breeder we can waive this requirement upon negotiation of breeding rights. Copies of parent health checks are not provided until proof of spay/ neuter is obtained or breeding rights are negotiated. *
