BACKGROUND
The High School Health/Sexual Health Committee has spent the last year surveying the community and identifying proposed curriculum materials to be considered by the School Board for the teaching of high school sexual health. The committee determined, based on a community survey and the available curricula that meet the state learning standards, that Battle Ground Public Schools would use a combination of products and resources to create a customized curriculum. The proposed curriculum is a compilation of lessons from the Center for Disease Control, Family Life and Sexual Health, Positive Prevention Plus, and the district's high school health textbook, Essential Health.
