2022 VDM Performer Application
Do you have an awesome performance art talent? Do you make music? Write poetry? Dance? DJ? Perform in drag? Generally rock?

The 2022 Vancouver Dyke March and Festival will take place on July 30, 2022. The stage at the Festival is in Grandview Park. Performances will be on-stage from 1pm to 5pm, with some breaks in between.

*** Applications are open until June 20, 2022. ***

Performers who have been chosen will be contacted after the application deadline. Please note we anticipate scheduling fewer performers in 2022 than we have in some past years, and we may not be able to accommodate everyone who is interested. In the event that we have more applications than we can accommodate, we will be giving priority to artists who are part of marginalized groups within our community.

Performers will be required to provide transcripts of their anticipated performances by July 2, 2022, for the purpose of helping our ASL interpreters prepare in advance of the Festival. Performers will also be required to review and sign a code of conduct consistent with the vision and mission of the Dyke March, with the signed code of conduct to be returned to the Dyke March by July 2, 2022.

We are a small, community-based organization. We provide our performers with a small honorarium for their time (at minimum $50, and typically between $50-$300 per group) depending on length of performance, size of performing group, whether travel was required, and our financial situation.

Our event will be subject to any COVID-19-related rules then in place.
