ACCESSIBILITY- Classes take place from 11-4 in person one Sunday a month and from 6-9 on zoom the previous Monday evening.  Each Sunday, we will spend time walking, standing and sitting for up to two hours at a time, in lectures, on plant walks, and working on hands-on activities in indoor and outdoor spaces.  Inside, we will follow class COVID guidelines.  Outside, the weather can vary; it can be cold, hot, raining, or sunny.
What would make class activities more accessible for you?  Do you have concerns about going on plant walks, sitting in class for several hours, participating via Zoom, or any other part of the course?
COVID- As we make it through the pandemic, we take our class safety seriously and continue to revise our safety measures as appropriate. Through 2023, that has meant that we’ve held classes indoors and outdoors, with an option to connect via Zoom, we had all students do a rapid test before class, and masked in indoor spaces (ie bathrooms etc.). We don’t know what measures we’ll take in 2024, but we will always be following the guidance of experts and be responsive to the needs of our students.

Can you abide by covid or other guidelines set up by the instructors?
*
Do you have a car? Are you comfortable being in a car for up to two hours (for field trips!)? (Carpooling may be available.) *
Will you be able to dedicate up to four hours outside of each class weekend to complete homework (listening to podcasts, reading stories, doing research, tending the garden etc)? *
Will you be able to attend all in class sessions ? The dates for the 2024 program are: 3/25, 3/31, 4/15, 4/21, 5/13, 5/19, 6/17, 6/23, 7/20, 7/21 (SLEEPOVER WEEKEND), 8/12, 8/18, 9/16, 9/22, 10/14, 10/20, 10/28.  Again, Mondays via zoom, except the last Monday and Sundays in person at the farm. *
Payment
Tuition is $1000, which is nonrefundable. We require a $300 deposit due by 1/1/2024. Note that there will be some additional out-of-pocket costs, including gas money, medicine-making supplies and books.

We offer payment plans, $116.66/month from January-June 2024.

There are some scholarship positions for indigenous people, people of color and trans and non-binary folks. In our work as white herbalists, we strongly believe in taking steps to address the patterns of colonization and white supremacy in our herbal practices, and to help bolster the many forms of resistance to the systems and structures of oppression we live under. This includes trying to make this course more accessible to BIPOC and trans folks.
