Lee's Summit CARES Alcohol & Tobacco Retailer's Training, in partnership with the Lee's Summit Police Department, is a program provided to Lee's Summit merchants that will assist your employees in and serving alcohol & tobacco per the dictates of state statutes.
Learn the importance of addressing youth alcohol &/or tobacco use in the retail environment. A certificate of completion is provided. This requirement is subject to all retailers who sell alcohol, tobacco or nicotine products. All employees who serve these products within your establishment are required to individually complete this training.
90-MINUTE IN-PERSON SESSION ONLY
A 90-minute session of this course is available ONLY IN PERSON every Friday from 10:00AM to 11:30AM. Held at the Lee's Summit CARES office: 634 SE 4th St., Lee's Summit, MO 64063 US
All registrants are asked to be there prior to 10AM and no earlier than 9:50AM. Attendance will be recorded and submitted.
You will learn to:
- Learn the importance of addressing youth substance abuse in the retail environment
- Overview of federal, state, and local laws
- Understand the various agencies responsible for regulation and enforcement of these industries
- Assistance in the detection of false identification
In accordance with Jackson County, each individual will pay a $50
(NON-REFUNDABLE) fee prior to attending the class. To pay that fee, please click HERE.
Please fill out this registration form. Each class can hold up to 8 attendees. First come, first serve through the completion of this application. You will be turned away if the form is not completed prior to your arrival and your $50 fee is not paid.
