The Education Foundation would be nothing without parents being INVOLVED! Now is your chance to become a Homeroom Parent or a Homeroom Helper! Please see below what these important roles involve:
Please consider carefully ALL requirements for both Homeroom Parent and Homeroom Helpers. Please do
not sign up if you will have to bring younger siblings into the classroom. Also, there will only be 2 Homeroom Parents
permitted at a time to attend classroom parties. Specific responsibilities for each role are listed below:
Each elementary school has 2 scheduled “parties” a year, dates are also on the Events Calendar. Valley Park 01/17 & 5/10, Central Park 12/21 & 3/22, Penn Beach 11/22 & 3/28.
Homeroom Parent Responsibilities (each class needs at least one):
- -Work with the teacher to plan and prepare for classroom parties. Planning food and a game or craft.
- -Contact Homeroom Helpers to supply refreshments, supplies, etc. for classroom parties
- -Assist with school events as needed (i.e. Field Day, Book Fairs, Fundraisers)
Homeroom Helpers Responsibilities (each class needs several):
- Send in/help supply refreshments and supplies for classroom parties.
- Assist with other school events as needed when available. (i.e. Field Day, Book Fairs)
